Sustainability is the core focus of our business. As an ethical business, we understand that our responsibility goes beyond manufacturing products. We are committed to bringing a positive change in both the community we work with and the planet we survive on. And therefore, we are actively upgrading our technologies, re-engineering our processes and integrating compliances that will head our business to have a positive impact on both the environment and the community.
The key focus areas of our business towards a sustainable future are as below.
Ethical supply chain
We are a SEDEX certified business. Sedex is one of the world’s leading ethical trade service providers, working to improve working conditions in global supply chains. Being a member of the ethical trade community and providing services in accordance with the global ethical business standards are our utmost priority.
Transparency and traceability
We believe in building long-term relationships with our clients which is based on trust and ethics. As a business partner, we assume ourselves entitled to bring transparency and traceability on the table. Therefore, we disclose all the supply chain and production facilities related information with our clients.
We are committed to getting timely ethical auditing done at all our business facilities. We undertake yearly auditing of SEDEX. We also welcome any third party auditing agency as suggested or required by our clients. These auditing reports are then duly shared with our respective clients.
We have a responsibility to the people of our organization. We ensure to provide the Living Wages Act partnership. We also have a Women’s Empowerment Program in place under which the ICC (internal complaint committee) for women is dedicated to making the working environment safe for them at our facilities. We have implemented a confidential grievance mechanism which allows our workers to express their issues with the management without any fear and get them redressed quickly.
We understand the impact of our business on the environment. To reduce the impact and align our business with the well-being of environment, we have introduced various measures. We are a BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) member now. We are also a GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified business sourcing majority of our raw materials produced organically.
The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a global not-for-profit organisation and the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world. BCI exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in and better for the sector’s future.
